Gartner, the beginning of this 2014, gives us one of his Magic Quadrants this time dedicated to one of the sectors characterized by rapid growth – thanks to the increasingly morbid of large companies to the theme of Big Data and its appurtenances – namely that of the Advanced Analytics and the specific platforms that provide a complete set of analytical tools, mainly descriptive and predictive, able to extract, from the raw data, relationships and patterns (then real information actionable) that are not readily identifiable by traditional means of business intelligence. These analytical tools base their essence of statistical algorithms, optimization and simulation.
